Descanso (to rest), is a documentary examining the phenomenon of roadside memorials in the Southwestern United States. Through personal tragedy many people elect to construct and place a memorial at or near the death site of their loved one. This public facing grief work is the main aspect that will be covered in the documentary utilizing expert testimony, and stories directly from those who have created and maintain descansos for their deceased family members or friends.
